IS THAT MAN EVEN REAL
throwback to when this LEGIT happened. so it was before an event my boyfriend and i were going to in new york and we stopped off in a vegan restaurant for dinner. as we were sat down i instantly recognised andy but i was also like ‘the chances of it ACTUALLY being him are SO slim’ so i even like went outside pretending to make a call whilst trying to get a better look to make sure it was LEGIT
after we ate, our server came over to take our plates and my boyfriend *so casually* says to her ‘we think someone from one of our favourite bands is over there’ and she replies ‘oh, andy? yeah he’s a regular here’ so we then asked if we could buy him a drink (no alcohol obvs) get a piece of paper for her to hand to him next time she went over and we wrote something like
‘hi andy! we didn’t want to disturb your dinner, but we just wanted you to know we love your music and it’s great to see you here! we know you don’t drink so we bought you an apple juice’
she hands it over and walks away and we’re all both **BLUSHING** with embarrassment but nothing happens so we’re like ‘cool he got the note that’s all good i’m glad we did that’ but THEN the server comes back over and we ask ‘did he like it?’ to which she replies,
‘well, see for yourself!’ and hands us our check and it’s $0.00 and we’re super confused cos american checks are a bit different but then it CLICKS
he paid for our entire dinner and bought us an extra apple juice on top too!!
so as we go to leave we look over at him to nod like a ‘thanks dude’ but he waves us over and we end up talking for a few minutes and he is SO LOVELY and yeah that’s basically how andy hurley bought me dinner one time
